    Aug 2023 – Aug 2025

    Founded an AI-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit addressing teen loneliness. Built and shipped the iOS app, integrating the OpenAI APIs with context-aware prompt construction, local-first storage synced to Supabase Postgres behind auth and row-level security, and sentiment tracking. Grew it to 2,000+ users across 4 countries, a peak of 500+ daily users, 60,000+ AI conversation sessions, and 10,000+ affirmations delivered. Recruited and led a 20-person volunteer team and expanded school and youth-organization partnerships.

  • Cal Poly Pomona — AI Research Intern

    Jun – Oct 2025

    Research intern in the Software Engineering and Mobile Cloud Computing Lab under Prof. Yu Sun. Built and evaluated components of Companion Connect against the OpenAI APIs, developed data-analysis tools, helped design a 15-participant user study, and analyzed the participant outcomes. Co-authored and presented the resulting peer-reviewed paper at AI 2025, the 11th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Applications.

    Delivered 3 web projects in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including a game raising mental-health awareness and a published website on environmental sustainability resources. Applied responsive design, debugging, and iterative testing to turn requirements into working experiences. Earned the program's HTML and JavaScript certification.

  • President, RHS Video Game Development Club

    Grew membership 80% (35 → 63), hosted 10+ workshops on Unity and game design, partnered with 3 clubs for a district-wide competition, and coordinated with Microsoft to provide mentors — coached two club teams to wins in Microsoft's Hunt the Wumpus competition.
